This is exactly what I would have said. I’m also nervous because of what I think the ‘disagreement’ between RDZ and TB means about our likely recruitment in the summer. Not that I want us to spend 100s of millions on established players, but if RDZ was asking for a couple of good athletic midfielders, a winger, a RB and an upgrade on Igor he wouldn’t have been far wrong in terms of what we need to get close to the squad we had last season. I suspect we aren’t going to get that. I was already nervous when we deemed Milner good enough for a squad place.

I don't understand the Igor comment. Imo he plays a similar game to Webster but is stronger, gives it away less often when carrying the ball forward, and is left-footed. Why do we need an upgrade?
That trend will certainly continue. There are bigger clubs than us that will always buy our better players, and our recruitment is based on buying younger players with potential and building them up. Thats how clubs like ours compete in this league.

He made 2 errors that cost goals. Webster half hit a couple of passes in defence and was bailed out by Baleba. He's certainly not worse than Webster.
