...and they all did join them, so their "arrogance" was clearly justified.

It's just a fact, we're a much bigger club than Ipswich, just like Chelsea are a much bigger club than us.
We're not. We're of comparable size and their history is more illustrious than ours.

They have also spent a fair few years in the top flight and played in Europe (I think). Wouldn’t say it’s anywhere near obvious. We might be more attractive at the minute
They were last in the Premier League 23 years ago..

“BBC Sport understands that one manager on Brighton's list to replace De Zerbi is likely to be Kieran McKenna, who has just won promotion to the Premier League with Ipswich.”

I’ve watched quite a few of their games this season following Sarmiento. The football REALLY reminds me of Dezerbiball.

By what metric? I swear half of NSC think they're still living in the 90s.
Haha they’ve won the league , won the fa cup , won the European cup , had 28 seasons in the top league . Been in the top 3 of the top league numerous times , played in europe numerous times .

It’s not even a debate , let’s not be arrogant here !

Edit - they’ve not even been in the bottom division !!

They are a bigger club overall yes, but are they a bigger club in the years that have & will form Kieran McKenna's career. Not so far.

Come on now, none of those wins occurred in the last 40 years. They haven't even been in the top flight in 20+ years.

Oxford University also won the FA Cup a million years ago, it doesn't mean they're a bigger club than us.

That’d be UEFA and FA Cup winning Ipswich Town would it? Ipswich are a bigger club than us.

The most curious thing..
Do we really want a lower division manager these days. I thought we aspired higher than the Championship.

Anyway, away from the 'which team is bigger' sh1t debate.........................

I was told over 6 months ago by a journalist* very much in the know in a face-to-face conversation that KM was at the top of the club's wish list for the next manager in after de Zerbi.

However, with Ipswich's promotion, I personally think we've got little chance as he'll want to stay and complete the project/journey (whatever the current buzzword is!)

*P.S It was a journalist working for a national newspaper NOT Naylor !
