But what about the future of the flag?
Ceremonial conflagration? Or everybody takes a piece of it home, like the Goldstone nets (and the rest of the ground for that matter).

Well he has been a lifelong fan, indeed he used to sit not 20 feet away from me in the old West Stand at the Goldstone when he was a little boy. He loves this club and I am fully aware he is hard-nosed when he needs to be but football is a risky investment and I am certain that his motivation is not directed purely from profit.
I'd ask Dick Knight about that

So how much should we have paid for someone who didn't want to come here and who's club didn't want to sell? £50m + £150,000 a week? We were right to stop at a reasonable level and if RDZ doesn't understand how we work then he wasn't listening when he joined.
No idea...I was replying to a post about getting Amorim in

Exactly this...or, possibly, RDZ thought the club would change the way it worked after getting us to 6th and into Europe. I dunno.

Have just read club statement. Clear that he does not have a job offer so can only presume he is not happy with what Bloom has put on table for next season. I think this is more of a concern than losing a manager because we will not finish anywhere near top ten with this squad.

I know there was a fallout, and from what I know about him, Dick Knight is a wonderful chap whom I regard highly. However no way is Bloom only in it for money.

Edit: Substituted 'who' for 'whom', much better now.

I don't think we'll ever see the likes of that football again at the Albion and for that I will forever be thankful to RDZ. He's shown what can be achieved. Something just went south since January and I'm not actually surprised by the announcement. I mean the injury list was utterly crippling of course, but you just have to crack on with it and adapt. Be interesting to see who comes in.
I think our "golden generation" have not even matured yet. I believe we'll see beautiful, skillful football in attack and more defending at the back when the new manager comes in - and my guess is that we'll kick on.

I loved what RdZ did for us, I liked his approach and his personality, but I think he's been found out before and was again. We need something more than simply amazing passing to do consistently well in the Prem.

Very excited to see who comes next and optimistic for next season. Also pleased we won't have any more "will he - won't he" threads.

Does that mean he can join another club without any buy out cash incoming ?
Seems like we are giving him away and missing out on £15 million or whatever it was if true.
I guess, in this instance, time is worth more than money.

TB wouldn't have liked somebody telling him like it is. Oh well, it'll pan out soon enough

Well, we won't have any more of those threads unless the new guy is also young and very good 😂

He wasn’t backed properly form a position of strength in jan . The way he behaved since has been pretty bad and sours the 2 years .

Sounds like we should get ready for another summer of selling a couple and not replacing .

With 6 wins in the last 29 . We could be in trouble .

Crossroads for us but in Tony bloom we trust !!
Bollocks! He did well with Potters players and proved he is a one season wonder this season! Hope TB sacked overrated twat!
