Excellent game of football which could've gone either way.

Fair play to Braintree who had to play 3 games, the last 2 of them away to the top 2 playoff sides.

As for Worthing, a Semi-Final last year, a Final this time.

Next season it is then.
4 games in effect, what with all 3 going to ET.

I like the format of these playoffs, with the team finishing higher in the League skipping a round, and then getting home advantage. The EFL should adopt it as well IMO.

Didn’t like seeing the away fans dancing on home turf (plastic). Nasty. Police should have waded in and caused all kinds of bother. ;)

Kinda agree to be honest, although it would be nice for them to go up, their ground and pitch holds them back, maybe this is their ceiling 🤔
I know what you mean about the pitch. It was a great game today but it’s very different watching football on 3G. It’s almost impossible to do a through ball on the ground and the ball bounces high. I think that’s why long balls over the top caused so many problems today.

It was probably a factor when the Braintree player seemed to rupture his achilles.

I know why so many non league teams go for 3G pitches but it’s a shame there’s so many around now.

to you Worthing supporters Will you be able to retain the players. Surely National league clubs including York City will show interest,, Was Hinchlewood there today

Just out of interest, guessing Worthing are part time, would they have gone full time if they had been promoted?

Where's worthing firm?
Thankfully nowhere to be seen. There were a few families and kids surrounding the Braintree players. One or two knuckle draggers hoping to provoke the home fans but the place soon dealt with them. All good.

Also if nothing else I was the first person to lift the trophy , so technically I’m promoted if we use Triwizard tournament rules

Gutted. What a performance, what a team. A lot of squads would have crumbled after going 3-2 down.

Got to look at the long term positives. The town of Worthing is now hopefully aware of the team that they have. Biggest town without a pro club. The potential is massive
Really good game that was. Looks like they’re on an upward trajectory so they’ll get promoted eventually.

I think Slough then Poole must be the biggest towns without a pro team tho. Both pretty bad for the size of town, Poole especially.

For some reason Wakefield sticks in my head, albeit they are a City not a Town

Amazing game and entertainment, and a great day for the football club, and for Sussex football. Shame it didn't go their way this time.

Worthing are by far the fastest growing club in Sussex, and that includes us now.

Will really enjoy watching their historic climb up the league pyramid in the next few years, it's a club of great potential. Big town that many Brighton fans can relate to or have an affinity for.

Look, I’m regurgitating stats I heard years ago to make myself look smart, please don’t nitpick with actual facts. Cheers.
