I have depression and other mental health issues. Football makes thing a lot worse as can be shown on here on match days. I find it easier to manage when I am at home and have distractions. I will not be going until the end of the season for these reasons. Me and my therapist will then look into next season game by game. Football isn't as important as my mental health.
If you want to talk about it on here and share it with us that’s fantastic and I think we’re all behind you however it is vital to remember that ultimately anyone’s reason for not going DOES NOT NEED TO BE JUSTIFIED ON HERE. It’s no one else’s business. We all support the club and we do it in different ways. There is no obligation to “be Albion 24/7”

Instead of the usual people next to me I had some newbies, one of whom clearly, by all his shouting, knew more about football than RDZ. Every time we had the ball he knew exactly the pass that should have been made even if didn’t have a clue who the players were, with comments like “pass it to 34” or “ping it to 24”. The one player he knew by name was Welbeck, so every time we had the ball in defence it was “pass to Welbeck!”. The most annoying was “put it in the hole!”. That’s one of those football expressions I’ve never understood (and don’t want to). As I predicted, he disappeared five minutes before half-time, re appeared five minutes into the second half, and finally left just after the penalty. Please can ticket exchange be banned.

I appreciate you for speaking up and being honest, it's not a fun thing to talk about so credit to you. I'm here if you want to chat, I've been through that

Fair play to those posting above who have spoken up as well saying it shouldn't need to be justified. Thank you

Was all in on Saturday fixture. We had plans for the Sunday. The game got rescheduled, I'm not rescheduling my plans I've already made and losing the money I spent so I resold my tickets. Apologies for being a plastic.

Had the game stayed on the Saturday, I would have had to pass.

Swindon, but used to be Manila
We have always had no more than 4-6000 hard core fans. The rest are busy people with fences to creosote now the weather has improved, and anyway there is always Chelsea on the telly.
Creosote is banned in the UK … are you still in 1975???

Anyway we are well hardcore 240 miles round trip !!!!

Oh but will be missing Chelsea and Man Utd as we have the audacity to go on holiday to Philippines and Thailand

Utd tickets sold within an hour of going on the exchange ( probably to UTD fans) Chelsea tickets still not sold.

From my seat the majority of the West Upper was full and also the North End of the West Lower. I didn't think there were too many vacant seats in the North but the most empty seats were in the East Stand where unfortunately it will look worse because it's opposite the cameras. But it doesn't really matter, people have lives outside football
There were loads empty in North and West !!

Totally understand where you are coming from. I had reservations about making the trip from Dorset too and was thinking of giving it a miss.
Oddly the traffic was better than a normal day. Took around 2 and a half hours there and even with a quick stop at Shoreham McDonalds on the way home still got in before 8!
Big mistake

Go to uncle Sam’s instead of McDonald’s

Just remembered some goons in the North actually had the audacity to sing 'you've seen the Albion now f*** off home'. When actually half the crowd didn't see the Albion

Have a lovely holiday

(I don't have any tins of creosote left, but I do have a full jar of sulphur that I bought from Parris and Greening in 1973 (long before schoolboys making explosives became an issue), in the shed).

Delete this now, you know the rules

Early leavers = The East Stand

No singers = The East Stand

No shows = The East Stand

Move the away fans (with literally no regard for the time served Albion fans that have been there since day one ) to = The East Stand

Etc etc …. 🤣

(By the way, when did the half empty East Stand get that big screen? )

Thankfully the Amex is usually full, or a minimal amount of STH no shows, but when we occasionally have these less desirable games that result in a few thousand ticket exchange tickets that obviously won’t sell is there a way that the club could give the tickets local schools or to kids at local youth football teams. Maybe have a period where the tickets are on the exchange as usual, but if they’re not sold with 2-3 days until the match, the club then has contacts with local schools/youth football teams to see if any kids (with parent/guardian) would like the tickets for free or at a seriously reduced rate. Not sure on logistics, but must be a way to organise something like this.

Would the STH still get paid?!

The club has already sold the ticket once. Not sure it wants hassle distributing them a second time.

Anyway, it would it put people off buying if they thought they could get for free. And the club wouldn't do anything to devalue tickets (for the same reason it doesn't reduce the price of home shirts).

It's a non-starter, I'm afraid.

The normal moaners behind us weren't there but in their place we had a couple of "Sling it in the mixer's" which was different

Looked to me on MOTD that there were far fewer empty seats than normal, maybe I've just been watching the 'lesser' teams, who knows.
