Well done everyone, runners and supporters, epic achievements all round. The lack of breeze and air made it as difficult as the heat. I was pacing a friend so it wasn't as tough for me but even running at a pace lower than normal race pace I could feel it. Congrats again everyone.
Most 'running' experts will say carb loading is advisable the day before a marathon. I tend to increase my carbs the day before, grazing at them, rather than stuffing them in, in one go. Works for me but it is horses for courses, what works for one won't work for another. I went years ending up...
I ran it a few years ago, it is quite flat, its a mix of trail, tarmac and a small bit of shingle. Its an out and back course, a few little bottlenecks but you could go fast on all other parts.
Just heading off to Boston now for the what promises to be the race of my life. £850 in the bag already for AITC makes it very very worthwhile. Happy running to anyone heading out over the Easter Weekend.
Team NSC for the Brighton Marathon next year is looking very very strong!!
Its excellent and it thoroughly works. Have done nearly 10 sessions with it. Very impressed. I started with an induction so I could get some guidance as to what exercises were the best. Then again after about 5 sessions for some new ones. Whilst it looks like a kids swing/climbing frame, I like it.
