    [Cricket] It's just not cricket

Indeed. Great article and for me these two paragraphs sum up the Hundred: One problem is the obvious impediments to holding any kind of objective discussion. First the Hundred itself is an endlessly divisive entity. The good bits are clear enough. The Hundred was designed to expand the game’s...

    [TV] Welcome to Wrexham

That's another good point. Leaving aside the football club the actual area has benefitted from the attention - and the influx of tourist cash. I don't think the residents of the Wrexham area are at the 'Venice' level of objection yet.

    [TV] Welcome to Wrexham

I think that's a tad harsh. There's undoubtedly some truth in it, but I'm still inclined to think their ownership of Wrexham is a 'good thing' - certainly when compared to previous owners. The celebrity ownership / reality TV show thing does have its downsides as you've pointed out, but I think...

[Albion] Mason Greenwood, would you want him at the Albion?

What's that got to do with anything? You don't have to be a convicted criminal to fail the 'No Dickheads' policy.

    The Palace Pier is back

I believe there was, certainly the kiosks are there. Worthing pier definitely had an entrance charge in the 1960s. And rather than start a new thread I want to moan about how shit the fish and chips are now. The restaurant used to be good, with the food served on china plates. Expensive, yes...

[Albion] Albion Players' Awards - tonight

But it IS related, so yeah, let's discuss it. (I've got nothing to say on the issue BTW).

[Albion] Mason Greenwood, would you want him at the Albion?

Yes I say NO as well.

    [Sussex] Steyning Line History

There were rumblings a few years ago that the Cranleigh to Guildford stretch would get re-opened, but rather like Lewes to Uckfield it doesn't look like it'll happen. On the subject of the Downs Link, I didn't realise it went all the way to Guildford. Can you walk it as well? Obviously it can't...

    [Sussex] Steyning Line History

Wow, yes thank you. I shall look forward to watching that as I remember the old Horsham line. (Never went on it though). EDIT: I remember before the Shoreham by-pass was built the old wooden toll bridge used to carry the A27! You had to pay the toll at the old level crossing on the Horsham line.

[Politics] Brighton Pavilion, Labour candidate - who to vote for?

Only the recent past. When I moved to the Brighton Pavilion constituency in 1990 it was Tory - as Brighton (and Hove) had always been apart from a few years in the 1960s when Kemptown elected a Labour MP. (Although if you go back to the mid-19th century you can find a few Liberals representing...

[Albion] Roberto De Zerbi wanted to join the best — then they overlooked him

Yes, good point. I managed to miss that inference. :dunce:

[Albion] This is what we want against Eurofuddled Villa on Sunday

Yes I was - and that's my YouTube channel! (I think it's my only vid, although apparently I have three subscribers).

[Albion] Roberto De Zerbi wanted to join the best — then they overlooked him

True. But I'm not sure the Indy would have gone with the headline: "Roberto de Zerbi wanted to join the best - then he pissed on his own chips"

[Football] 42 days and Southend United or else ?

Yes, I read that and thought the guy was in some ways worse than Archer. For those that haven't read it the Southend owner (Ron Martin) brought the club - and then immediately split it so that the ground became a separate company (Roots Hall Ltd), and it charged the football club £400k a year...

    [Politics] Are you voting today?

We ARE lucky to live in a country with a free vote and your point is of course 100% correct. And having read it I feel a bit bad about the fact that I won't be voting. However like others though we've only got the PCC election and like others I don't agree with politicising the Police. To show...
